The "supplier managed inventory program " can help support cost reduction objectives for OEM's with managed forecasts which support contract manufacuturing suppliers. This program is especially helpful for managing long lead-time purchased parts found on your BOM.  Risk buys can be beneficial for both supplier and customers, dwell times are established at ninety days.
